Are Private Investigators’ Regulations in force?
Currently, Private Investigators are not licensed within the UK. However, there have been many conversations in parliament surrounding the regulation of the industry.
However, here at Corporate Investigations, we believe that licensing would be great for the industry, and it will ensure everyone operates to a particular standard and ensure all investigators are acting lawfully.
Corporate Investigations are current member of The Institute of Professional Investigators.
The Institute of Professional Investigators has recently worked alongside WAPI & UKPIN, which are other professional organisations. Filling the void on licensing and have come up with a joint code of ethics & professional conduct. Investigators should always abide by these ethics.
All members of the listed professional bodies must follow the established code, and we encourage other organisations to do the same.
